Head of Strategy
Fred’s dual role in the business means he spends some of his time working with clients to find transformational approaches to solve their strategic marketing challenges and develop global medical information strategies. He spends the rest of his time overseeing strategic work and setting Blue Latitude Health’s own long term strategy. He also acts as a coach and mentor for the consultants in our strategic planning team, guiding their development and acting as a sounding board for new ideas and approaches.
Originally an ad-man, Fred jumped into the world of advertising straight after gaining a degree in physics. He started out at Boase Massimi Pollitt (BMP), working with clients like Volkswagen, Heinz, and British Railways. In 1993, he did a brief stint at Simons Palmer Denton Clemmow & Johnson, before founding Revolution Promotions and Marketing Limited. At Revolution, he specialised in innovative youth marketing campaigns, and was one of the earliest adopters of the internet for marketing purposes. He went on to co-found Sky Rock Network to explore the new world of digital marketing, where he contributed to pioneering digital solutions for Oracle, BMW and Universal Music. After selling Sky Rock in 2003, Fred started consulting on his own, met Blue Latitude Health co-founder Martin Brass, and the rest is history!
Through Blue Latitude Health, Fred has managed to combine his passions for science, marketing, and digital innovation to play a small part in bringing life-changing innovation to healthcare, making him happier than a pig in muck.
When he’s not working in the strategy salt mines, Fred likes to be as far away from city life as possible – sailing, walking in the New Forest, and generally relaxing in the countryside with his family. He also does the occasional triathlon for charity.
