On October 5 2017 Blue Latitude Health was invited to speak at Novartis’ ICE Innovation Day.
The event, organised by Novartis Global Medical Affairs, took place at the company’s Basel campus.
Speakers gave illuminating talks on the future of publications, medical information and scientific events.
Blue Latitude Health has worked with a number of leading pharmaceutical clients, including Lilly, Janssen, Novartis, Pfizer, Genetech, and MILE/EFPIA, on medical information projects. For each client we successfuly defined the strategy and positioning of medical information services, developed concepts for new delivery models and optimised existing solutions and services targeting HCPs.
Simon Young Director and Head of Commercial at Blue Latitude Health spoke at the Novartis event. He drew on our past experience to paint a picture of the future from the customer’s perspective, including the key trends to prepare for.
His presentation examined HCP’s behaviours and journey’s when seeking out medical information and explored the way intelligent systems can provide answers at the point of need. He then challenged med info professionals to consider their role in future of medical information provision.
He said: “Ultimately It's not regulation or technology that will slow pharmaceutical companies down, the real challenge will be reaching consensus as an industry and adapting your organisations to ensure you can deliver the best information, through new systems methods of distribution”
In November, Simon will also speak at the 11th Annual European Medical Information and Communications Conference and Exhibition, hosted by the Drug Information Association. He will join a panel of speakers from Novartis, Roche and Aris Global and to discuss ‘Technology – Artificial Intelligence and Future of MI’.
His speech will tackle some of the key challenges in adapting content and organisations, and will challenge the industry to accelerate their collaborations.
