We sat down with Dolan to find out more about what a typical day is like for an Account Director at Blue Latitude Health:
6:30am…then hit snooze.
6:45am – actually get out of bed – quick shower, then out the door. Check emails on the train to work.
A combination of walking, bus and train.
Normally around 8:30am.
Grab some microwave porridge, check my action list from previous evening and meeting plans for the day – assess if priorities for the day are still correct.
The morning really varies day-to-day, but I will review any materials that need to be sent to clients first. Then I’ll typically have a couple of meetings (briefings with the creative team, status, finance, planning etc). If I can, I’ll try to read a few news articles before the day officially starts.
Good question. That depends on the work. If it’s something creative – some rock would do the trick. If it’s a detailed document, then it’s more likely some classical or soul.
I like to take a short walk for a bite to eat.
I’ll buy something.
Check priorities for the day are still correct and amend my action list as necessary.
Much like the morning, I get stuck into a project I’m currently working on. A highlight of my afternoon is the coffee pot I share with a couple of colleagues around me. We also share some dark chocolate, which is nice.
This also really varies day-to-day – the most common are unforeseen changes in project scope, and making sure the right people can get on the job and make it happen.
I like to climb when time permits, otherwise some reading, playing guitar, or going for a swim.
