We’re not sure how, but it’s mid-December already, and 2016 is quickly coming to a close. It’s been an exciting year at Blue Latitude Health, so we thought this might be a good opportunity to round up our highlights from the last 12 months.
2016 saw BLH growing or expanding in many ways. We opened our first global office in NYC, sending Managing Consultant (and now VP New York) James Atherton and David Cooney over to get it up and running. At present, hiring is in full force for the NYC location, and our Talent team is keen to hear from interested candidates.
We also expanded our office in London in 2016, taking over the 3rd floor of Crusader House in addition to the 5th floor. Our newly revamped space was a much-needed addition as we grew from 49 to 62 employees this year – a huge achievement from our busy Talent team!
We would love to tell you about all the clients and projects we have been working with – but we can’t! However, it is fair to say that all our capabilities from Insight through to Strategy to Customer Experience and Creative Services have all be exceptionally busy. We have continued to work with longstanding clients, and are delighted to be working with new clients as well. Work has taken us all around the globe – we now work on global and regional business – with cross functional teams spanning medical information to market access, sales, business intelligence and of course product and marketing teams. We have worked across therapy areas including Crohn’s disease, immuno-oncology, prostate cancer, and orphan diseases. We’re proud of the work we do, and the differences made for HCPs and patients. And we want to thank all our clients for their support – without you, we would not have such a challenging and busy year.
We launched a new magazine in 2016, Perspective, which we created to take a deeper look at the different issues and trends that affect the healthcare and pharma industry. Our first issue launched in January this year, and since then, we’ve released an issue on human-centred design and two supplements – one about procurement and the other focusing on immuno-therapies. The next issue will be landing in subscribers’ inboxes in early January – so keep an eye out!
We’ve also been featured in some great publications this year. We were quoted in several issues of Pharmaceutical Market Europe (PME), with some great features in the June and December issues about brand creativity and the changing role of the expert in healthcare. 2016 also saw us featured in PharmaTimes and European Pharmaceutical Review.
We’re very pleased to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for a PM Society Award this year, which is exciting as it’s the first time we’ve entered. It’s a fantastic bit of news to round out what has already been a very exciting year for BLH, and it sends us into the holidays with something to look forward to in the New Year!

We are proud to support Rays of Sunshine, the UK charity working with children and young people with serious or life-limiting illness, by developing a creative concept for the #kisses4wishes campaign. The eye-catching campaign launched today in Time Out London as part of its Valentine’s Day edition, in a specially designed gatefold wraparound cover.

Not only was 2016 a milestone year for Blue Latitude Health, we also hired 21 new employees. How are they getting on at BLH, you ask? There’s no one better to explain how they’ve fared in their new roles than our new joiners themselves.
